WHAT ARE MEDICAL TATTOOS?

The technique of medical tattooing can be used to camouflage skin defects, for example in the case of disturbing scars or bald spots. It is also possible to recreate a nipple and areola after breast reconstruction.

The treatment is not painless, but the pain is generally well tolerated. Medical tattoos are usually applied in 2 to 4 times, with an interval of 4 to 6 weeks.

The tattooed skin will look and feel like an abrasion. After each treatment, the wound is covered with a compress. You can remove this the next day. You can then shower (briefly) again, but we advise against bathing, swimming and saunas.

PRELIMINARY CONSULTATION

Before a medical tattoo is scheduled, a preliminary consultation take place where the personal wishes, possibilities, shape and colour of the pigment are discussed. It is recommended to wait up to 3-6 months after scarring before proceeding with pigmentation.
